At Hallmark, our goal is to make out of your child a well-developed person who is academically sound, mentally stable and spiritually mature. We pride ourselves on our determination to raise pupils who have instilled in them the culture of discipline and hard work.
We are committed to giving hope to the academically challenged child, as we ensure that no student is allowed to remain or labelled dull. In other words, we give individualized attention to such students
Hallmark Secondary School, Ondo, was founded in the year 1995 out of a vision and a burden of the management to provide a secondary school of high academic and moral standard; a school that would groom and produce students that could fit into any situation and condition in life.
The Proprietress, Mrs. Aralola Faturoti, a seasoned and well qualified educationist with over fifty years' experience, took the burden and vision together with her strong faith and planted the seed. Today, the seed is what has now grown to become Hallmark Secondary School - the Centre of Excellence.
Over the years, the school has provided a quality student-centred environment and has consistently developed a track record of academic excellence.
Hallmark has a distinguished and award-winning reputation which includes being the top school in Ondo State and one of the top schools in Nigeria. Indisputably, to the glory of God, the school is a force to be reckoned with in the educational sector, not only in Nigeria but internationally.
Our school is conveniently located in the peaceful outskirts of Ondo town, a major city in Ondo State (fondly referred to as the 'Sunshine state') which is in the western part of Nigeria. It sits on a large expanse of land in a quiet and serene environment on the main road that is easily accessible to major parts of the country.
A couple of years ago, the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye made a memorable visit to the school and made this prophetic declaration:
-Any child passing through this school-
*shall be for signs and wonders,
*shall be a force to be reckoned with anywhere
*shall be mightily used by the Lord and
*shall be a blessing to his/her generation.
To the glory of God, we are seeing God fulfilling these prophecies today in the lives of our students.

Students are normally admitted at the beginning of the school year. Admissions during the school year will only be considered if there are vacancies, and will be subject to the same admission criteria.
Students who are older than the eligible age for their classes will not normally be admitted. However, after considering the circumstances and the effect of the candidate's maturity on his/her performance, the school management may then use its discretion on whether or not to admit.

Success is important to us at Hallmark Secondary School, and school work is taken very seriously. The essence of our admission procedure is to ensure that boys and girls who are admitted into the school are well monitored to follow the course of work with the aim of getting maximum results.
Students' academic records are continuously monitored and evaluated by teachers. They are informed of their progress and grades periodically. Special lessons are arranged for the academically challenged ones, to build their confidence and improve on their performance.
There is also a booster programme of intensive coaching for students in JSS 3 and SSS 3 preparing for their final examinations. We also run vacation summer lessons annually for secondary school students of JSS 1 to SSS 3 classes. These are intensive coaching classes based on the National syllabus.
In addition to the above, we provide remedial course programme for students that have had challenges in passing external examinations such as NECO, G.C.E and so on. All of these are put in place to enable them pass well and forge ahead in their academic pursuits.
Our fully integrated and universal curriculum is targeted towards preparing and equipping students for the following examinations:
The Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE)
The Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
The National Examination Council Examination (NECO)
Entrance examinations into universities and other higher institutions such as JAMB
International examinations such as TOEFL and SAT.
Our School Clubs
Education, no doubt entails an all-round development and it is not acquired in the classroom alone. We also learn or acquire education through social interaction. As a result of this, the school has a number of clubs and societies. Every student is encouraged to belong to at least one club in the school aside the literary and debating society which is compulsory for everyone.
These clubs include:
Literary and Debating Society
Young Writer/Press Club
Akomolede Yoruba Club
NAFDAC Consumer Safety Club
Young Farmer's Club
Federal Road Safety Club
Fine Arts Club
Young Writer's Club
Theatre Art Club
Hallmark Secondary School Ondo is a full boarding school. Our students are given strict supervision and are properly monitored by boarding house staff members, who reside in the school compound with them. Students are trained in basic household chores, and are given responsibilities to prepare them for the life ahead.
The school has a large expanse of land which accommodates a multipurpose lawn, where various sporting activities such as Football, Basketball, and Volleyball, take place. Students that are athletically gifted are encouraged to participate regularly, both in state and national competitions. Interested students can also take swimming lessons.
Hallmark offers supportive medical care for all its staff and students. The school has about six full time professional nurses on its staff list; two residential Medical Doctors and a visiting doctor, who are readily available to meet the medical needs of the students.
The school maintains an excellent library with unmatched brilliance; well-stocked with a wide range of books covering various subjects and topics that will properly educate the students. It is obvious that a man becomes what he reads, so we are careful not to stock books and resource materials of questionable contents. We also believe that good books are a real treasure that any person should invest in. Therefore, we constantly update the library with top quality books and resource materials from time to time.
To stay at the forefront of changing trends in information technology, the school builds cutting edge technology into every classroom and learning experience. Teachers employ a wide array of technology-enhanced learning tools, such as interactive simulations, to engage students in real world exercises.
The Proprietress, Mrs. Aralola Faturoti, a seasoned and well qualified educationist with over fifty years experience, took the burden and vision together with her strong faith and planted the seed. Today, the seed is what has now grown to become Hallmark Secondary School: the Centre of Excellence.
She is a native of Ondo town in Ondo State and was born into the families of the late High Chief Olaniyi Awosika, the then Adaja of Ondo land and late Chief (Mrs) Comfort Awosika (Nee Fasehun) on 25th September 1938.
Her Educational Life
She started her primary school education in 1946 at Saint Stephen's Primary School, Ondo and later obtained a transfer to Anglican Girls' Primary School, Ondo, where she completed her primary education in 1953.
In 1954, Mrs. Faturoti gained admission into Saint Louis Girls' Grammar School, Ondo, for her post primary education. She finished from that same institution in 1959 in flying colours. After her post primary school, she was one of the eleven female Nigerian students selected for Female Science Student Pilot Project in 1960. It must be noted that there was scarcity of female science students in the Nigerian universities at that time.
She attended the Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology, Ibadan, from 1960 to 1962 for her advanced level certificate course in Pure Maths, Applied Maths, Physics and Chemistry. After obtaining her Advanced Level Certificate, she proceeded to the University of Ife (Now Obafemi Awolowo University), and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1966. Later on in 1971, Mrs. Faturoti attended Texas A and M University College USA, for an Advanced Certificate Course in Chemistry. Six years later, Mrs. Faturoti attended University of Ibadan where she obtained a post-graduate Diploma in Education (PGCE).
Her Career as a Teacher:
Mrs. Faturoti has been a foremost educator and educational administrator. She taught Chemistry and generally, science subjects in so many top secondary schools across the western part of the nation. Some of these include: Igbobi College, Lagos, Ibadan Grammar School, Saint Theresa's College Ibadan, and Our Lady of Apostles' College Ibadan.
In Lagos, her teaching career took her to the famous Igbobi College Yaba, Saint Gregory's College, Anglican Girls' Grammar School Surulere and Maryland Comprehensive College. She was to later teach in her Alma Matter, Saint Louis Girls' Grammar School, Ondo, where she retired from the civil service in 1985 while serving as the principal of the school. Everywhere she taught she was known to be very strict, honest, hardworking and a woman of integrity. The successful way many of her student have turned out testifies to this. Glory to God!
She independently wrote a book on school certificate course on Organic Chemistry.
She co-authored the 'New Approach to Chemistry' with Mr. Dotun Oyewole.
Educational Institutions established with dates:
